I have been so excited about this week's contest at I ♥ Faces! I had the perfect picture in mind for the Adult Category. This picture features one of my favorite people in the world-my grandpa, who I call "Paw." Paw fought in WWII where he was shot in the leg and became a prisoner of war. He is my only living grandparent now and is such a great person. What makes this picture so special is that it was taken on Memorial Day of 2009...a day to honor our country's heroes!

Here is my entry for the kids category this week. These cute kids belong to one of the 2nd grade teachers on my team at school. Sydney and Travis are so much fun! I thought this picture with Travis peeking over the fence turned out pretty cute and looked nice in the sepia toned tint.

Both are great pics. But the one of "Paw" is just amazing. I just love pictures of older faces, such stories are told in them. TY for sharing his story along with the photo...an amazing man for sure!! Thank him for his service to his country from my family!!

We had a WWII veteran in our family. They are precious, precious people. I LOVE the life one his face. The kid's entry is fun and such a great shot. Good job!
