I ♥ Faces - Eyes

It's all about the EYES at I ♥ Faces this week!  My little man has the most beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes.  This picture shows them off well!

I ♥ Faces - "Water"

We have had plenty of time in the water this summer!  Lane has enjoyed swimming at Mums' house, going to Hawaiian Falls, sprinkler time, splash pads, and swimming lessons.  But his favorite water activity involves just a garden hose!  After narrowing down all of the fun water pictures I have of him this summer, this one makes me smile the most.  My little wild man--only one shoe on, stripped down after dinner one night, running around with the hose in the backyard.  Summer perfection!

I ♥ Faces - "Let's Hear it for the Boys"

In honor of Father's Day, I ♥ Faces is featuring pictures with boys or men in them.  My husband Kyle celebrated his second Father's Day this year and our son Lane is so lucky to have such a great dad!  I have PLENTY of pictures of just Lane I could enter in this week's contest, but the theme "Let's Hear it for the Boys" is just calling for this picture!!

Our childbirth class we took before Lane was born had some great couples who we kept in touch with since our babies' births.  We all ended up having boys and meet up for playdates once a month to catch up and let the boys play!  This was our second playdate--almost a year ago, and I had the idea to use colored cloth diapers for each of the babies.  I love how they each have their own expressions!  These boys were all born within 2 months of each other and will be friends for life!

I ♥ Faces - "Pet Week"

April 20, 2011--Lane was sick, so I stayed home from work to be with him.  He developed a fever overnight and slept in bed with me.  He napped there that next morning, and our JRT, Scout never left his side.  Less than an hour after this photo was taken, Lane had a seizure and was rushed to Cook Children's Hospital by ambulance.  Everything turned out to be ok, thank goodness!  He had suffered a febrile seizure as a result of his fever suddenly skyrocketing.  I wish Scout was better focused here, but even though she is blurred out, this picture still takes me back to that exact moment.  I love them both so much!! (Even when they are BOTH naughty!)

i ♥ Faces - "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes"

I ♥ Faces is taking a break from faces this week and focusing on anything BUT faces!  I had lots of feet shots of Lane to choose from, so my husband helped me choose this one!  This was taken a few months ago during Lane's naptime.  I just love how he sticks his little bottom in the air and crosses his feet when he sleeps.  I snuck in quietly, focused between his crib bars, and snapped this picture.

Happy Valentine's Day from my tiniest Valentine!  Although he is almost a year old, this is his first Valentine's Day.  I can't believe that a year ago I was finishing up last minute details on his nursery, stocking up on diapers and such, and preparing myself for the arrival of this sweet bundle!  In honor of "Red" week at I ♥ Faces, here he is in all of his sweetness!
